Spry Canyon

My first real canyon experience was Spry Canyon in Zion National Park. The canyon wasn't exactly what I was expecting, no "real" slot anywhere, but like everywhere else in Zion it was really beautiful, and the big raps were a lot of fun.

EDIT: And one more time, here is a slideshow and link to the photos over on Picasa:

Ryder/McPheters Basin, Uinta Mountains.

I thought it was high time for another update to the blog. I should have pictures from about 5 different canyon trips here in the next week or so and will try to put up some TR's from those trips, but to tie you over for the moment I decided to post a TR from one of my favorite hikes in the world. I've done this one a few times, but these pictures are from back in 2002. I haven't been back since and really want to do it again next summer. We'll see how much time I have.

EDIT: Ryder and McPheters via Hayden Pass is my favorite day hike in the Uintas, possibly my favorite day hike of all time, you get get so much bang for your buck! I've removed the dead photos and added a link to the photos on Picasa:
